About Us
The Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) high school serving students in grades 9-12 located in the diverse and bustling community of Midtown West.
Our mission at SDC is to graduate well-rounded young adults on a pathway to college and careers where they will use their knowledge and skills to make positive contributions to their communities through design and construction.
In order to do so, students are provided with challenging academic courses, participate in regular social-emotional learning experiences, and are immersed in a variety of college and career experiences to help them make informed choices for life after high school.
With a student to staff ratio of 7:1, we are able to build relationships with each student and foster a deep sense of connection to our community. Each SDC student is known well by both their guidance counselors and their Crew advisor, both of whom follow along with their students throughout their high school journeys from ninth grade to graduation. We strive to ensure that each and every SDC student is seen and heard in order to support them on their journey of becoming who they are and to prepare them for life after high school.
