Want to be an SDC student? Attend and Open House!

8th grade students who are applying to high schools in New York City are invited to attend one of our three open houses. If you are an 8th grader in a New York City public school, are interested in architecture or design, you can visit our school and learn more about being a student at SDC (School of Design and Construction). Open House dates are Saturday 10/15/11 (10am), Saturday 10/29/11 (10am), and Thursday, 11/17/11 (5:30pm). No need to RSVP, but for more information you can contact Ms. Dransfield at (212) 586-0981 ext. 489.

PSAT – October 12th, 2011

All 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT exam on Wednesday, 10/12/11. Please consult the hallway lists for room assignments. The exam will take place periods 2,3,4, and 8.

Highlights from our SDC Drawing Class

This spring, a mixed group of SDC students have been working with artist Carol Rubinstein in a drawing class. Working in our design studio, they have experimented with shading, sketching, and the exploring the fundamentals of drawing.
